Tell the child what will happen, then offer a wave, a hello, or time to watch. Accept their choice without asking them to pose.
Yes. Guests can wave or offer a short greeting in turn, leaving the child room to join when ready.
Give our team the location, guest count, child's preferences and access needs. Confirm the requested theme, program details, cost and availability before making plans.
In Rulo, keep the character visit easy to follow: greet the child, pause, then offer a choice to join or watch. A familiar adult can stay close while guests take turns with a wave or brief hello. For outdoor plans, settle the weather decision process before invitations go out, including where the group would move. Ask us about the requested character theme and confirm program details, cost, and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
Official source (opens in a new tab)Choose an adult to monitor the forecast and decide when to move the group indoors. National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
