How to : Play children's party games

Musical chairs, pin the tail on the donkey, and balloon stomp are all classic party games that are still enjoyed today.

Arrange chairs in a circle or in rows, with one fewer chair than the number of players. When the music starts, players walk around the chairs. When the music stops, everyone tries to sit in a chair. The player left standing is out, and another chair is removed. The game continues until there's only one player and one chair left.

Hang a picture of a donkey without a tail on the wall. Give each player a paper tail with their name on it. Blindfold each player, spin them around, and have them try to pin the tail closest to where it should go. The player with the closest placement wins.

Tie balloons to each child's ankles. The objective is to stomp on other people's balloons and pop them while protecting your own. The last person with an unpopped balloon is the winner.

Hang a string horizontally and tie doughnuts to shorter strings that hang from the horizontal string. Each player stands in front of a doughnut and the goal is to eat the doughnut without using your hands. The first player to finish eating their doughnut wins.
