In Vaughan, Mississippi, build the visit around a calm first moment and a clear plan for changing conditions. Let the birthday child greet the character with a wave or watch nearby before deciding to join. Keep the photo moment brief, then offer guests a simple way to participate, such as a group greeting or a quiet turn. Ask one adult to manage the schedule and another to handle weather decisions if needed. Tell our team the requested theme, ages, timing, and access needs; confirm the program, cost, and availability.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
