Not everywhere. Amplification is prohibited park-wide at Shelby Park and at shelter 5 in Two Rivers Park, so check the specific shelter and ask the park before planning any music or speaking through a microphone.
Metro Parks regional recreation centers offer gymnasiums, arts and crafts rooms, dance studios, and meeting space, and meeting rooms can often be reserved during or after operating hours. Contact the center for availability.
You might discuss storytelling, a dance or movement game, or a craft table, depending on the room you book. These are options to talk through with your character, not included services.
Yes. Ask each venue directly whether outside entertainers are permitted before you commit, since that rule is set by the venue and not by the character booking.
Nashville has a mix of outdoor park shelters and indoor recreation spaces, and each comes with different questions to settle before you book a costumed character. Start by deciding whether you want a covered outdoor party or an indoor room, then check the specific rules for the place you pick.
Several Metro Parks picnic shelters in Nashville are available for rental, including the shelter at West Park at 6105 Morrow Road. Shelby Park's shelters at South 20th and Shelby Avenue are rentable too, but amplification is prohibited park-wide there, so ask whether a character's music or microphone would be allowed. At Two Rivers Park, the shelters sit at the Wave Country entrance on 2320 Two Rivers Parkway, and amplification is prohibited at shelter 5 specifically. Confirm which shelter you are reserving before you plan any sound.

Metro Parks regional recreation centers include gymnasiums, arts and crafts rooms, dance and exercise studios, and multi-use meeting space, which can suit a party with active or craft-based activities. East Park has a black-box theater, Coleman Park has a teaching kitchen, Hadley Park has a computer lab, and McCabe Park is the system's first LEED certified facility. Meeting rooms can be reserved during or after operating hours, and most areas may be rented outside normal hours, so ask the center which room fits your guest count and time.

Ask the venue whether outside entertainers are permitted, and whether a character visit needs any approval beyond the room or shelter reservation. Ask whether the space has a sound system or amplification you can use, and what the character will need to set up. If you are planning a water-park celebration at Wave Country, ask what the birthday arrangements include before assuming any extras will fit around a character visit.
