The City of Chattanooga sorts its parks into reservation categories that vary by type, size and location. Signature parks such as Coolidge and Ross's Landing fall in one group, specialty parks such as East Lake Park, Greenway Farm and Warner Park in another, and neighborhood and community parks make up the rest. Ask which category your preferred park belongs to, since that affects what you can book there.

Ask the venue whether outside entertainers are allowed, whether a character performance is permitted, and what the rules are for setup time and noise. Confirm the shelter's exact capacity for your guest count, whether the grill and outlets are available on the day, and whether a backup indoor space exists if the weather turns.
