Buffalo's Japanese Garden in Delaware Park holds up to 40 people, and food, beverages, chairs and tables are not allowed inside the garden. That makes it better suited to a small, quiet visit than a party with a full table setup. Ask the Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy whether outside entertainers are permitted before you plan around the garden.

In Erie County parks, shelters and buildings can only be rented during park hours, and you must leave by 9pm from Memorial Day to Labor Day or by dusk from Labor Day to Memorial Day. Plan a visit that wraps up well before that cutoff. Inflatables and dunk tanks are not allowed in shelters or rentable buildings, so ask the venue which activities fit its rules and confirm outside entertainment separately.
