Murfreesboro's parks and recreation department rents shelters, parks and facilities. Check which space fits your guest count and whether it allows outside entertainers before you book.
Yes. Confirm the space's rules and date availability with the city first, then plan the character visit around them.
Ask about setup and cleanup times, outlets for music, nearby groups using the area, and whether outside entertainers are permitted in the space you choose.
Think about the children's ages and how long the party runs. Then discuss greetings, stories, games or dancing with the performer as options to confirm.
Murfreesboro has public parks and facilities that can be booked for private events, so a character visit often starts with finding the right space. Once you know where the party will be, choosing a character and planning the visit becomes much simpler.
The City of Murfreesboro's parks and recreation department handles shelter, park and facility rentals. Before you commit to a date, look at what is available for your party, such as a picnic pavilion, a meeting room or another space that suits a group of children. Pick the space first, then confirm whether the rental rules allow an outside entertainer to perform there. Ask the staff directly, since you should not assume that a rented space permits every kind of event.

A few questions help you plan well. Does the space have enough room for the children to gather around the performer? Is there an electrical outlet nearby if you plan music? What time can you arrive to set up, and when must you be finished? Will other groups be using nearby areas during your visit? Asking these early keeps the party calm and avoids surprises on the day.
Once the space and date are settled, talk with the character about what suits your guests. You might discuss a short greeting and photos, a story, simple games or a dance, depending on the children's ages and how much time you have. These are options to talk through, not included services, so confirm what the performer offers before finalizing the plan.
