In Voss, North Dakota, keep a character visit simple enough for children to join at their own pace. After a warm hello, invite the birthday child to choose between a wave or a high-five, then leave room for a few photos and a short group activity. Let guests watch before inviting them to participate. Before setting the schedule, ask us about the requested character and confirm the program details, cost and availability with our team. The suggestions below are statewide planning checks, not verified Voss venues or local policies.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
North Dakota Parks and Recreation lists two rentable picnic shelters at Grahams Island State Park alongside a separate activity center. Use this as one state-managed facility example, not a venue recommendation: confirm which space, facilities and access conditions apply to your plan. Ask the operator about hired entertainment before arranging the visit.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
