Ask guests to give the child space during the first hello. They can join a photo or activity when invited, while the child chooses their level of participation.
Describe the planned gathering and hired entertainment, and confirm the exact space, booking conditions and permissions directly with its operator.
No. Ask us to confirm the requested theme, program details, costs and availability before making promises to guests.
Welches gatherings can feel more manageable when the character visit has a clear beginning and a calm place to pause. Let the birthday child choose a first greeting from a wave, a hello or watching nearby with a trusted adult. Then invite guests to join a short shared activity or a photo, without requiring every child to participate. Check that any chosen day-use space is booked for the kind of gathering you plan. Ask us about the character theme and confirm program details, costs and availability.

Oregon State Parks accepts reservations at parks with reservable group day-use facilities as well as many campgrounds. Check the specific facility and booking conditions rather than treating all parks or campsite reservations as group-event bookings. Ask the operator about hired entertainment and any additional permission before setting the party plan.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
