Let the child watch from a comfortable spot first. Offer a wave or photo only if they show interest.
Take a few small-group or family pictures, then allow the character visit to continue without a long photo line.

For a Wentz gathering, a short, predictable visit can help children know what comes next. Start with a hello and a wave, offer one easy group activity, then invite the birthday child to pose for pictures if they wish. Give guests room to participate without making anyone perform. Kentucky's supplied park guidance addresses overnight accommodation reservations, not local party approval. Treat these as statewide planning checks, not verified city venues or policies, and confirm any gathering space and character activity with its operator.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Kentucky State Parks' FAQ describes reservations for lodge rooms, cottages and campsites. If the plan includes an overnight stay, check the current booking and cancellation conditions for that accommodation. Contact the actual park about separate gathering space and hired entertainment; an overnight reservation does not establish birthday eligibility or event permission.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
