Offer space to watch first, with a familiar adult close by. The child can choose a wave or greeting later.
Plan one short group activity after the birthday child's greeting and photos. Keep watching as a welcome option.
Only after details are confirmed with our team. A ZIP code or date request does not reserve a visit; costs and availability must be checked.
For a West Yarmouth gathering, make the character's arrival easy to understand and easy to pause. The birthday child might greet the visitor with a wave, take a photo with a parent nearby, then choose whether to invite friends into a simple activity. Keep a small buffer in the schedule so the visit can feel unhurried. Statewide planning guidance does not verify local venues or policies, so check the exact location and prepare for weather. Ask us about character themes and program ideas; confirm costs and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
Official source (opens in a new tab)Choose an adult to monitor the forecast and decide when to move the group indoors. National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
