Begin with a wave or hello to the group. Give the birthday child time to choose whether to approach, talk or pose for a photo.
Invite everyone to answer one easy themed question or join a brief group photo. Make participation optional for children who prefer to watch.
Check the venue's space, access and activity permissions, and decide where the indoor backup is. Share your visit needs with our team for confirmation.
A Woodrow party can make room for a character visit without asking every child to join in the same way. Start with a friendly group greeting, then let the birthday child choose a photo, a conversation or a little more time to watch. Guests may join a simple themed question or stay with their grown-ups. Before settling on a gathering space, list the practical needs that matter most, such as seating and access. Ask the operator about permissions, and confirm character program details, cost and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
South Carolina State Parks provides an interactive map and filters for its park directory. Use the actual facility listings to check the space, seating, access and amenities required for your gathering. Ask the specific operator about reservations and hired entertainment; a map result is not a venue recommendation or approval for a party.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
