Let them greet the character from beside a familiar adult, or simply watch. A wave, high-five or photo can be offered without pressure.
Offer a simple choice, such as joining a group pose or watching from the side. Ask the organizer to help children take turns.
Check venue permission for the gathering and hired entertainment. Confirm program details, costs and availability with the character-visit team; overnight lodging terms do not approve a party.
A relaxed visit in Yettem can give children room to warm up before the character becomes the center of attention. Welcome the guest with a simple group wave, then invite children to take turns choosing a pose or joining a short activity. Participation should remain optional, with a quiet place nearby for anyone who needs a pause. Ask us about the requested costume theme and possible program; confirm details, costs and availability with our team. If the celebration is outdoors, decide in advance where everyone will go if weather changes.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
California State Parks' reservation policies on this page cover overnight accommodations, including camping and lodging. If your plan includes an overnight stay, check the accommodation-specific booking and cancellation conditions. A camping reservation does not establish permission for a daytime birthday gathering or hired entertainer; confirm those separately with the relevant operator.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
