Confirm that the exact facility is reservable for group day use, review its conditions and ask whether hired entertainment is permitted.
Only after details are confirmed with our team. Ask about theme, activities, timing, cost and availability; a request alone is not a booking.
In Ashland, Oregon, the first planning step is to confirm that a chosen site actually accepts reservations for group day use. Do not assume a campground or other park booking secures a gathering area. Once the space is confirmed, keep the character visit simple: a warm greeting, optional group participation and photos when children are ready. Statewide planning checks are suggestions, not verified Ashland venues or local policies. Ask the facility operator about its conditions and permission for hired entertainment; confirm the requested program with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Oregon State Parks accepts reservations at parks with reservable group day-use facilities as well as many campgrounds. Check the specific facility and booking conditions rather than treating all parks or campsite reservations as group-event bookings. Ask the operator about hired entertainment and any additional permission before setting the party plan.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
