Give the child time to observe and let them choose a wave, hello or photo later.
Choose a short photo window and invite guests in small turns, with a parent beside the guest of honor.

A Bearden character visit can feel special without asking every child to join the same activity. Welcome the character with a wave, offer the guest of honor a choice of a short chat or photo, then let other children take turns at their own pace. If a state park is under consideration, check exactly what the reservation covers before arranging the party layout. Statewide tourism guidance describes possible facility types; it is not venue approval. Ask us about the theme, and confirm program details, costs and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Oklahoma's official tourism agency describes several lodging and gathering-space options in state parks. Check whether the exact reservation covers overnight accommodation, a meeting area or another facility before planning the group layout. Confirm current access conditions and permission for hired entertainment with the operator; the guide is not approval or a guarantee of a birthday venue.

National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
