Let the child watch first and decide whether to greet the character. A wave or photo from beside a caregiver can be enough.
Invite children to join a brief activity in turns, while making it fine to watch or step away.
Ask the facility about booking, access, setup, and entertainment permission. Confirm the program, cost, and date availability with our team.
A Bonney party can feel special without a packed schedule. Start with a warm character greeting and let the child choose a wave, conversation, or quick photo; then offer guests a simple activity with room to observe. For any state park group facility you are considering, check the current booking channel rather than assuming online booking applies. These are statewide planning checks and parent suggestions, not verified Bonney venue policies. Ask us about a character theme and possible visit structure; confirm program details, costs, and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Texas Parks and Wildlife directs visitors to reserve group facilities by phone rather than assuming every booking can be completed online. Check the current process for the exact group facility and describe the gathering and hired entertainment to the park. A phone reservation route does not establish that the proposed party activity is eligible or available.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
