Let them watch beside a trusted adult and join only if they choose. The character moment can still feel special without a close greeting.
Invite guests to take part in one brief activity, with a host helping children participate at their own pace.
Monitor the forecast, know the indoor destination, and be ready to guide the group along the agreed route.
A thoughtful Brayton gathering gives children more than one way to take part. The birthday child might offer a wave, help welcome the character, or stay close to a trusted adult and watch. Keep the visit manageable with one shared activity and an optional photo moment. For an outdoor party, choose a weather lead and explain the backup plan to the host. Ask us about your date and ZIP code; program details, costs, and availability require confirmation with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
Official source (opens in a new tab)Choose an adult to monitor the forecast and decide when to move the group indoors. National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
