City of Chandler park pavilions can be reserved up to a year in advance, which gives families with a fixed date plenty of room to plan. If an open pavilion is your target, start the booking early and ask the city what entertainment and setup rules apply to your reservation. A pavilion is a good fit for an outdoor character party with a picnic feel, but it is not a building, so plan any weather backup separately.

Whichever space you choose, ask whether outside entertainers are permitted, how much time the room is available for, and whether the character can arrive and leave through a separate entrance. You might also discuss whether a simple sing-along, a parade through the room or a short story with costumed characters would work for your group's ages. These are options to talk through with the venue and the entertainer, not included services.
