Invite them to observe beside a caregiver, wave, or join a group photo later. Participation can stay optional throughout the visit.
Choose one photo spot and have an adult gently invite small groups in turn. Keep the rest of the guests seated or occupied nearby.
Ask us about the requested costume theme. Confirm the visit program, cost, and availability with our team, and check the site's rules with its operator.
For a Clear Creek gathering, leave room for children to join the character visit at their own pace. Start with a hello and wave, then invite willing guests to take turns in a small photo moment. Ask us about the requested costume theme, and confirm program details, cost, and availability with our team. If considering a state-managed property, identify the exact site and ask its operator about gathering space, access, and hired entertainment; statewide information does not establish a Clear Creek venue or policy.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
West Virginia DNR describes lodging options within its state parks and forests and links to the official park directory. Identify the exact state-managed property, then ask whether there is a reservable gathering space suitable for your proposed activity. Confirm access and hired entertainment rules; a lodging listing does not establish group-event eligibility or approval.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
