No. It is a Baltimore-specific example. Ask your selected venue directly about room use and permissions.
A party in Crapo calls for a venue check before choosing how the character will meet the children. Keep the program flexible: begin with a wave or short greeting, then offer the guest of honor a photo or a quiet moment with a trusted adult nearby. Other children can join a simple group picture or watch. Ask us about program ideas, costs and availability, and confirm the visit and venue permissions before relying on any activity.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
As a city-scoped example within Maryland, Baltimore city recreation centers provide room rental information. Baltimore directs families to their recreation center for room rental information. Check the actual room capacity, permitted entertainment and setup time rather than assuming any recreation center can host the same program. This example applies only to Baltimore's listed municipal facilities; other cities and state-managed parks have separate operators and rules. Confirm the exact venue's reservation process and permission for hired entertainment.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
