Start with a wave from a comfortable distance. Let the child choose whether to approach, join an activity, or simply watch.
Invite guests to join a short group greeting or dance, while keeping the child's moment optional and easy to leave.
Ask us to confirm the requested date, cost, and program. Separately verify the space, reservation, and permission for hired entertainment with its operator.
For a party in Dupont City, West Virginia, keep the character's first moment unhurried. Guests can make a welcome path, while the birthday child decides whether to greet the character right away or watch from a trusted adult's side. Share the child's interests, age, and comfort level with our team, then ask about a manageable visit plan with time for photos and optional group participation. State park lodging information does not confirm a gathering space or event approval, so verify the exact property before planning around it. Program details, costs, and availability require confirmation.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
West Virginia DNR describes lodging options within its state parks and forests and links to the official park directory. Identify the exact state-managed property, then ask whether there is a reservable gathering space suitable for your proposed activity. Confirm access and hired entertainment rules; a lodging listing does not establish group-event eligibility or approval.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
