Let them watch from a familiar adult's side and decide later whether to wave or join a photo. Keep the choice gentle and optional.
Share the child's preferred name, party timing, guest count and arrival instructions. Confirm the venue allows the visit and ask about setup needs.
No. A request is not a reservation or payment. Ask our team to confirm availability, program details and cost.
For an Elcho gathering, build the visit around a calm first meeting and a clear place for children to gather. The birthday child might begin with a wave, then choose a photo or simply watch as the group joins a small activity. Keep participation optional and leave breathing room between moments. These are suggestions for the organizer, not guaranteed program features. Ask us about your requested character theme, then confirm the visit's program, cost and availability with our team. State guidance is useful for planning checks; city facilities and policies have not been verified.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Wisconsin DNR describes the reservable picnic shelter at its MacKenzie Center and its booking route through the State Parks reservation system. Treat this as one state-managed facility example: check the actual shelter, nearby facilities and conditions with the operator. Confirm permission for a hired character visit; the listing does not establish rules for every Wisconsin park.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
