Dixon Lake is a City of Escondido property, so the reservation office is the right place to ask about the shelter you want. Confirm whether the shelter is open to outside entertainers and whether a character visit fits the reservation terms. Ask what the shelter includes, what amplified sound is allowed, and whether there is a clear spot for the performer to set up.

Once you know the space, think about the character that fits the room and the number of guests. A shelter by the lake and a gymnasium suggest different kinds of play. Ask the entertainer how they would adapt a visit to your location and time, and which activities they can offer as options to discuss.
