Offer a wave or hello from beside a trusted adult before suggesting a closer greeting or photo.

Confirm access, gathering permission and hired entertainment rules with the actual operator. Ask our team to confirm visit details, costs and availability.
In Franconia, keep arrival and parking logistics separate from the character visit itself. Once guests are gathered, give the birthday child time for a quiet greeting before inviting others to join a photo or short group moment. These are statewide planning checks and parent suggestions, not verified Franconia venues or policies. If considering a state-managed property, confirm its specific access and activity rules. Ask us about a character theme and confirm program details, costs and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
New Hampshire State Parks warns that visitors without reservations may be turned away when Monadnock State Park is full. If considering this state-managed property, check its current day-use parking process and access conditions. A parking reservation is not a group shelter booking or permission for hired entertainment, and this example does not describe every park in the state.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
