At a Gay Head gathering, a little preparation can keep an outdoor character visit calm if plans need to change. Choose an adult to watch conditions, identify an indoor backup, and let guests know where to go. For the character's moment, start with a wave or quiet hello, then offer photos and a simple activity without pressuring the birthday child. Tell our team who will greet the character and where the child feels comfortable. Statewide weather advice is not a local venue policy; confirm program, cost, and availability with the theme provider.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.

National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
