Offer a wave from a trusted adult's side or let the child watch first. There is no need to insist on a close greeting.
Use an optional group pose, a simple question, or a short movement prompt. Make watching an acceptable choice too.
Share the schedule, arrival point, child's preferred greeting, photo plan, and any sensitivities. Confirm theme-provider details, costs, and availability with our team.
For a gathering in Hermansville, Michigan, keep the visit easy to follow: welcome the character, give the birthday child time to respond, then invite willing guests into a short shared activity. A wave, a favorite question, or a group photo can work well without requiring every child to perform. Decide in advance who will greet the character and where photos will happen. If the party is outdoors, plan weather decisions before guests arrive. Ask us about the requested theme and confirm program details, costs, and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
Official source (opens in a new tab)Choose an adult to monitor the forecast and decide when to move the group indoors. National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
