Offer two low-pressure options, such as waving or taking a photo, and let the child decline both.
Tell them when the character is expected and remind them that joining a greeting or photo is optional.
Our team must confirm availability, costs, and the program. A date request alone is not a booking.
A Hoisington character visit can feel welcoming without turning the party into a tightly scheduled show. Let the birthday child choose a greeting, from a wave to a brief photo, and allow guests to join in or watch. Before the party, decide who will help the child and who will keep the rest of the group organized. For an outdoor setting, make the weather plan clear to every adult. Share your visit idea with our team and confirm the requested program, costs, and date availability.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
Official source (opens in a new tab)Choose an adult to monitor the forecast and decide when to move the group indoors. National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
