Begin with a wave or greeting from a little distance. Let children come closer only if they want to.
Use one clear photo spot and invite guests in small groups. Keep a parent nearby and let watching count as participation.
Share the requested character theme, date, ZIP code, setting and preferred visit length with our team. Confirm the program, cost and availability before making plans.
For a Lebanon party, a visible photo area and a nearby quiet place can make the character's arrival easier for different ages and temperaments. Invite guests to join a greeting or watch first; there is no need to move everyone at once. Illinois state park information is a starting point for identifying state-managed picnic locations, not proof of local availability or rules. Share your requested theme, date and ZIP code with our team to discuss the visit; details, cost and availability need confirmation.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Illinois DNR provides a directory of state park picnic locations. Use it to identify the exact state-managed property, then check its shelter booking process, facilities and access with the operator. A picnic listing is not a reservation or approval for hired entertainment, and it does not establish rules for municipal parks.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
