Make watching from a comfortable spot a valid option. A child can wave or join later if they choose.
Choose a spot with room for a few willing guests, and ask one adult to take pictures. Skip posed lineups if they feel stressful.
No. Ask the specific property operator about gathering space, reservations, access, and hired entertainment; confirm visit arrangements with us separately.
For a Linch, Wyoming gathering, keep the character moment easy to reach and simple to pause. A short greeting near the group gives children a choice to approach, wave, or stay with a caregiver. Prepare one photo opportunity and a small optional activity, then leave open time for guests who prefer to watch. When you ask us, include the proposed location and date, plus any access needs; the character, program details, cost, and availability need confirmation.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Wyoming State Parks describes outdoor recreation at its state-managed properties and provides a park directory. Check the actual park's gathering facilities, routes and access rather than assuming a recreational trail is a suitable event space. Ask the operator about group-space reservations and hired entertainment; recreation information is not a venue recommendation or approval for your party.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
