No. Ask the property about reservable gathering space and approval for hired entertainment.
Offer a wave or a chance to observe, then invite children to join only if they wish.
Choose the greeting location and photo plan in advance, and confirm visit details, cost and availability with our team.
In McWhorter, make the character's arrival easy for the host to manage: choose a clear greeting area, introduce the birthday child first and leave room for guests to join gradually. Photos can be offered rather than expected, with a simple group activity as another option. If considering a state park or forest, verify the exact gathering space and rules. These are statewide and national planning checks, not verified McWhorter venues or policies. Ask us to discuss the visit; confirm program details, cost and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
West Virginia DNR describes lodging options within its state parks and forests and links to the official park directory. Identify the exact state-managed property, then ask whether there is a reservable gathering space suitable for your proposed activity. Confirm access and hired entertainment rules; a lodging listing does not establish group-event eligibility or approval.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
