No. A date request is not a reservation or payment. Confirm availability, program details and cost with our team.
For a Mystic celebration, build the visit around one clear moment: a friendly greeting for the birthday child, followed by a photo if they want one. The character can then invite guests into a brief shared activity, with no pressure to speak or pose. Ask us about the costume theme, and confirm the program, cost and availability with our team. Before choosing a gathering place, check the exact facility conditions rather than assuming a listing covers every use. Have one adult ready to guide the group and keep the photo area clear.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Connecticut State Parks and Forests provides an online booking route for the picnic shelters listed on its rental page. Use the specific listing to check capacity, season, facilities and reservation conditions. Ask the operator whether your proposed hired entertainer and equipment are permitted; a picnic shelter booking does not automatically approve those activities.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
