Let the birthday child decide, with a caregiver close by and the option to watch first.
Invite a small group at a time for photos or an activity, while others wait with the organizer.
Agree on who decides, where the group will go and how guests will be guided there. Confirm visit arrangements separately with our team.
A clear weather plan can make a Nickerson gathering easier to manage, especially when children are looking forward to meeting a character. Assign one adult to keep an eye on the forecast and direct guests if plans change. For the visit, keep the first greeting brief, then invite the birthday child to choose a photo or a small role in a group activity. Ask us about the requested theme; program details, cost and availability require confirmation.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
Official source (opens in a new tab)Choose an adult to monitor the forecast and decide when to move the group indoors. National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
