Choose one adult before the party, and make sure that person knows the indoor destination and route.
Offer simple options: watch, wave or join a photo. Let children choose rather than calling everyone forward.
Ask us about program details, costs and availability. Confirm the venue's permission for hired entertainment separately.
A simple weather plan can make a Norcatur character visit easier for the organizer and more comfortable for young guests. Pick one adult to watch conditions and make the move indoors if needed, so the birthday child is not left waiting while plans are sorted out. Start the visit with a friendly greeting, then offer a choice between listening, waving or joining a group photo. State guidance supports these planning checks, but Norcatur venues and their policies are not verified. Ask us to confirm program details, costs and availability.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
Official source (opens in a new tab)Choose an adult to monitor the forecast and decide when to move the group indoors. National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
