Choose one adult in advance to monitor conditions and communicate the decision. Tell guests where the indoor backup is.
Offer a wave, brief hello or photo as separate choices. Let the birthday child set the pace and allow others to watch.
No. A request is not confirmation or payment. Ask us about the plan and confirm the program, cost and availability with our team.
In North Loup, an outdoor celebration is easier to manage when the weather plan and the character visit have clear, separate roles. Pick one adult to watch conditions and another to help the birthday child meet the character at their own pace. Begin with a wave or quiet greeting, then offer photos or a group activity as choices. When asking us about a visit, prepare the party location, timing and guest age range. Confirm program details, cost and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
Official source (opens in a new tab)Choose an adult to monitor the forecast and decide when to move the group indoors. National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
