Planning a character visit in Rhodes, Mississippi? Build the gathering around one calm, memorable moment: a friendly hello, a wave or high-five if the child wants one, then a few photos with family. Keep the schedule flexible so children can watch before joining in. Choose an adult to welcome the performer and handle timing, while another adult stays focused on the children. Since city facilities and policies have not been verified, check the venue directly and confirm the requested theme, program details, cost and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
