In Rich, a thoughtful weather plan can help the whole gathering feel calmer. Choose an adult to keep an eye on conditions and know where the group would move if needed. Then keep the character moment flexible: the birthday child might greet the guest, watch from nearby, or join for a photo later. Share the schedule and the child's preferences with the organizer. Ask us about a theme and visit ideas; details, cost, and availability require confirmation with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
Official source (opens in a new tab)Choose an adult to monitor the forecast and decide when to move the group indoors. National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
