Let them watch first, then decide whether to wave, approach or take a photo. There is no need to rush the greeting.
Yes. A simple group wave or birthday wish gives guests a role without requiring anyone to perform.
Share the visit timing and child's comfort level with the organizer. Confirm facility permission and program details before the party.
In San Juan, keep the character visit easy to follow: a brief greeting, a pause for the birthday child to choose what comes next, and a photo only if they want one. Guests can join with a wave or birthday wish, while a parent stays nearby for reassurance. If you are considering a group facility, check its reservation steps and event rules in advance. Ask us about character options; program details, costs and availability require confirmation.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Texas Parks and Wildlife directs visitors to reserve group facilities by phone rather than assuming every booking can be completed online. Check the current process for the exact group facility and describe the gathering and hired entertainment to the park. A phone reservation route does not establish that the proposed party activity is eligible or available.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
