Let them stay beside a caregiver and observe; joining the greeting or activity can remain their choice.
Set aside a short photo window and invite willing guests in small turns rather than forming a long line.
Ask us to confirm theme, program details, cost and availability, and ask the facility operator about event permission.
On Seabrook Island, make the character visit easy for guests to understand and easy for the child of honor to approach. A familiar adult can introduce the character, then the child can choose a photo, a wave or a little time to watch. Invite other guests to join a simple activity in turns. These are statewide planning checks and parent suggestions, not verified Seabrook Island venues or policies. Ask us about the requested theme, program details, costs and availability, and confirm all gathering plans with the specific operator.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
South Carolina State Parks provides an interactive map and filters for its park directory. Use the actual facility listings to check the space, seating, access and amenities required for your gathering. Ask the specific operator about reservations and hired entertainment; a map result is not a venue recommendation or approval for a party.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
