Let the birthday child choose whether to wave, talk, or take a photo, and allow other children to watch before joining.
Choose a spot with room for the child and a few guests, and have a phone or camera ready before the greeting.
No. A date or ZIP request is not a reservation or payment. Ask us to confirm the theme, program details, costs, and availability.
In South Beach, a character visit can fit a relaxed coastal gathering when the greeting has a clear, comfortable spot. Let children watch first or join when ready, then invite the birthday child to choose a wave, a short conversation, or a photo. Before settling on an outdoor plan, check whether the specific facility accepts group reservations and ask its operator about hired entertainment. Oregon's park reservation information is statewide guidance, not confirmation of a South Beach venue, local policy, or availability. Ask us about the character theme and visit program; details, costs, and availability need confirmation.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Oregon State Parks accepts reservations at parks with reservable group day-use facilities as well as many campgrounds. Check the specific facility and booking conditions rather than treating all parks or campsite reservations as group-event bookings. Ask the operator about hired entertainment and any additional permission before setting the party plan.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
