Let the birthday child decide whether to approach, wave from a parent's side, or wait until later for a photo.
Share the meeting point and a simple order for the greeting and photos. Tell children that watching is welcome too.
Ask us about the requested character theme, program details, costs and availability; a request alone does not confirm arrangements.
At a Stratton Mountain, Vermont, birthday, a clear plan can help the character moment feel calm even when children have different comfort levels. Begin with a hello to the guest of honor, then let each child choose a wave, a photo, or a quiet place nearby. Ask us about the requested theme and a manageable visit outline; details, costs and availability require confirmation. City facilities are unverified, so these are statewide planning checks, not verified local venue advice or policies.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Vermont's Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation publishes site-specific occupancy information for its remote camping sites. If a plan involves one of these state-managed remote sites, check capacity, access, sanitation and drinking-water arrangements before proceeding. This camping guidance is not a birthday venue recommendation or permission for hired entertainment, and it does not describe every Vermont park.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
