That is fine. Offer a wave, a photo from a comfortable distance or simply the option to watch with a trusted adult.
Have a camera ready at a familiar, uncluttered spot. Invite the birthday child first, then let other guests choose whether to join.
Check venue permission and your weather plan. Ask us to confirm program details, costs and availability for the requested character theme.
A character visit in Sutton, Nebraska, can stay relaxed when children know they have choices. Let the birthday child greet the character from beside a parent, wave from their seat or join later. Before the party, decide how an outdoor plan would shift indoors and who will make that call. Share your timing, child's age and preferred character theme with our team. Check venue rules directly; program details, costs and availability must be confirmed.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.

National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
