Let them watch or stay with a trusted adult. Participation and photos should be choices, not expectations.
Confirm the gathering spot and timing, then share them with the character service. Leave room for a calm greeting and family photos.
No. Ask our team to confirm the theme, program details, cost and availability. A date request alone does not reserve a visit.
In Adams, Oregon, start by checking whether the specific facility is meant for a group day-use gathering, rather than assuming any park or campsite fits. Once the space is clear, make the character's visit easy to follow: a warm greeting, one optional group activity and photos on the child's terms. Ask us about theme, program ideas, cost and availability before making promises to guests. A familiar adult can help the guest of honor decide when to join.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Oregon State Parks accepts reservations at parks with reservable group day-use facilities as well as many campgrounds. Check the specific facility and booking conditions rather than treating all parks or campsite reservations as group-event bookings. Ask the operator about hired entertainment and any additional permission before setting the party plan.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
