No. Offer a group photo and individual photos as choices, while making it fine to watch or pass.
Confirm whether it is sheltered, what facilities are available and whether hired entertainment is allowed.
Ask us about the costume theme, possible program, timing, costs and availability. These details need confirmation.
A sheltered picnic area can make an Alna gathering more comfortable, but it is worth checking exactly what the reservation includes. Build the character moment around a calm introduction, an optional group photo and a simple activity guests can join or skip. Before you settle on an outdoor plan, identify a genuine indoor backup. Ask us about the requested costume theme, visit timing, program ideas, costs and availability; local venues and rules have not been verified.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Maine's Bureau of Parks and Lands lists both sheltered and unsheltered group picnic areas and directs visitors to contact the park for reservations or information. Verify which type of area you are booking, its facilities and the operator's conditions for hired entertainment. An open shelter should not be treated as a substantial indoor weather backup.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
