Let children greet the character from a distance or watch first. Invite participation without calling on anyone who would rather stay with a caregiver.
Set aside a clear photo area and ask an adult to help manage turns. Keep the activity plan short so children have time to settle in.
No. A request does not reserve or pay for the visit. Confirm the theme, program details, cost and availability with our team.
In Babbtown, keep the character visit centered on a few familiar moments: a hello, a group activity and photos for children who want them. Let guests join by waving or watching as well as by stepping forward. When considering a state park gathering, check whether the space is enclosed or open, since reservation steps can differ. City facilities and policies have not been verified. Ask us about the requested character theme, and confirm program details, cost and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Missouri State Parks says enclosed shelters, venues and meeting rooms require advance reservations. Check the exact facility type and current booking conditions, since open picnic shelters can follow a different process. Confirm the gathering layout and permission for a hired character visit with the operator; this policy does not establish entertainer availability.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
