Let them watch from a comfortable distance or stay beside a familiar adult. They can join a greeting or activity later if they choose.
Offer a quick photo opportunity, not a required pose. Have an adult ready to take pictures so children can return to play when they are done.
Include the date, address, age range, guest count, and any access or timing needs. Confirm program details, costs, and availability with our team; an inquiry does not secure a date.
A Baldwin party can feel more manageable when the visit has a clear beginning and plenty of room to opt in. Start with a greeting for the birthday child, allow a quiet pause for photos, then invite interested guests to join a short activity. Ask us about the character theme and possible program ideas; confirm details, costs, and availability with our team. Statewide facility information and national weather advice are planning checks, not proof of local venue rules or services.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Wisconsin DNR describes the reservable picnic shelter at its MacKenzie Center and its booking route through the State Parks reservation system. Treat this as one state-managed facility example: check the actual shelter, nearby facilities and conditions with the operator. Confirm permission for a hired character visit; the listing does not establish rules for every Wisconsin park.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
