In Battle Creek, Nebraska, make the character visit feel calm and easy to follow by giving it one clear focal point. Set aside a spot where children can greet the character, watch a short activity, then choose whether to join in or take a photo. A quiet option helps children who need time to warm up. Before confirming plans, ask us about the requested character theme, program ideas, costs and availability; these details must be confirmed and are not a reservation.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
Official source (opens in a new tab)Choose an adult to monitor the forecast and decide when to move the group indoors. National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
