Yes. Make watching, waving or joining a photo optional, and let the child stay near a trusted adult.
Give us the requested character theme, date, setting, guest ages and any comfort needs. Ask us to confirm what the visit includes.
Do not assume so. Ask the accommodation operator about daytime gathering and entertainment permission, then confirm program, cost and availability with us.
A Bay Point party plan works best when the birthday child knows what to expect and can choose how close to get. Explain that the character will say hello, then offer a wave, a family photo or time to watch from nearby. Guests can join a short photo turn or a simple cheer. If your gathering involves an overnight stay, separate that booking from the daytime party plan. Tell us your setting and preferred visit, and confirm program details, cost and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
California State Parks' reservation policies on this page cover overnight accommodations, including camping and lodging. If your plan includes an overnight stay, check the accommodation-specific booking and cancellation conditions. A camping reservation does not establish permission for a daytime birthday gathering or hired entertainer; confirm those separately with the relevant operator.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
