In Beaver Creek, Minnesota, keep the character visit simple enough that children can warm up at their own pace. Begin with a wave or a quiet hello, then offer the birthday child a choice: stand beside the character for a photo or watch from a trusted adult's side. A short group greeting can follow for children who want to join. Before the party, share the visit timing, guest ages and any photo preferences with the organizer. Ask us about the character program, cost and availability; confirm each detail before making plans.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.

National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
