Offer a wave, a high-five or simply watching from a comfortable spot. Let the child decide whether to approach.

In Brushy Creek, a character visit can fit a backyard gathering or a planned group outing. Give the birthday child time to watch from beside a trusted adult before choosing whether to wave, talk or join a simple activity. Set aside a clear arrival spot and a short photo moment, then let guests participate in turns rather than crowding around. Before choosing a park setting, identify the exact facility and ask its operator about the gathering and hired entertainment. Ask us about the character theme and possible visit format; program details, costs and availability need confirmation.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Texas Parks and Wildlife directs visitors to reserve group facilities by phone rather than assuming every booking can be completed online. Check the current process for the exact group facility and describe the gathering and hired entertainment to the park. A phone reservation route does not establish that the proposed party activity is eligible or available.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
