Let the character greet the group from a little distance. The child can wave, speak or stay beside a parent until ready.
Pick one photo location and ask a helper to bring guests over in small groups. Keep watching as an acceptable choice.
Provide the party date, location, timing, guest ages and requested theme. Confirm program details, costs and availability with our team, and check facility rules with its operator.
For a Bryn Mawr, Washington gathering, make the character's entrance easy to follow: tell guests where to meet, give the birthday child a moment to settle, then offer a wave or photo. A short, predictable visit can leave room for children to join in without putting anyone on the spot. Before choosing a picnic shelter or group space, check its booking route and conditions with the operator. These are statewide planning checks, not verified city venues or policies. Ask us about the requested theme; program details, costs and availability require confirmation.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Washington State Parks identifies reservation types that require its call center. Check the actual facility type and booking channel before trying to secure a picnic shelter or group space online. Verify access, setup and permission for hired entertainment separately with the operator; a reservation route is not event approval.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
